How to Choose the Right Sneaker Size
When shopping for sneakers online, two things are especially important – following the size chart provided by the brand and carefully measuring the length of your foot, or the insoles of sneakers you already feel comfortable in. This greatly increases your chances of choosing the right size and being satisfied with your purchase.
Of course, you have the option to return your order within 14 days and choose a different size. However, we’ve put together a few key tips below to help you avoid having to return your sneakers due to a sizing issue.
Tips for Choosing the Right Sneaker Size
1. Try on sneakers in the afternoon or evening
Throughout the day, your feet may swell due to physical activity, heat, or standing. By the evening, they tend to be at their largest. Trying on shoes later in the day helps you avoid the situation where a pair that felt fine in the morning feels tight for the rest of the day.
2. Be mindful when choosing pointed or narrow-toe sneakers
A narrower toe box means less space for your foot. Don’t hesitate to size up by half a size if you’re buying a more tapered or tight-fitting sneaker.
3. Always try on with the type of socks you’ll actually wear
Use the same type of socks during try-on that you plan to wear with the sneakers most often. It can make a noticeable difference in how the size feels.
4. Size matters—but every brand is different
Don’t rely solely on the number on the size label. Sizing can vary slightly between brands. For example, a size EU 40 in one brand may feel different in another. That’s why it’s important to always check our sizing charts carefully.
